//Speed in AI #5

I promised a blog with extreme discontinuity in time and content, and here I am, true to my word! 😃

As you may have noticed, there has been a long break in blogging over the past few weeks.

Not because of laziness at all, but because I have been completely absorbed by the million things that have been going on. Some of them are definitely on everyone's lips, others happened to me and I'd like to tell you about both. So I'm going to mix up a few things I did with personal noteworthy events, both of which may have an impact on you and AI

// Internet, October 12th

Nathan Benaich, an extremely knowledgeable investor and popularizer, presented the sixth edition of State of AI, a comprehensive report on what is happening in the field. A must read to go deep on AI world.

//Dubai, October 25th to 28th.

The first training/kickoff meeting of the Vjal Institute - The Path to AI was held.

What is that?

Vjal (vjal.ai) is an institute initiated by Aditia Paul Berlia, a great speaker and entrepreneur, after the incredible tour of over 50 dates in few monts to train 4000 CEOs and managers around the world.

The group's goal is to train a million people on AI. To do that they have engaged dozens of people around the world, including yours truly, to create a team that can provide awesome workshops to train you on AI.

The team is definitely fantastic and is made up of both very young people and executives from different industries as well as AI super experts. I am truly honored to be a Vjal Certified Trainer.

//San Francisco, November 4th

Elon Musk finally announces his AI: Grok.

Grok is one of the most nerdy mentions I've heard in a while. 🤓

Does this word new to you?

Then you must read Robert Heinlein's 1961 (one thousand nine hundred and sixty-one!) book "Stranger in a Strange Land". Or, if you feel lazy and don't want to read an entire book, find out the meaning here in English and in italian.

Oh, what about this AI Model? Let's wait... 🍿

//San Francisco, November 6th

Sam Altman of Open AI presented another revolution with GPTs and with new versions of GPT-4 and GPT3.5.

I think you already know everything because it was a good 13 days ago. But it was a very big piece of news.

I'll come back to these topics very soon, in the meantime, if you haven't already, reread the third article in the series "Hiring an AI in the Enterprise" and focus on "Co-Pilots".

//Somewhere on the Cloud, around November 9th

Open AI confirms that the problems that maybe many of yous suffered in the last days are due to DDos hacker attack.

Is it related to the following events around the board and Sam Altman?

//Verona, November 14th

Zooming in on my little beloved city: I held the first AI conference for schools! It was an event with more than 150 in attendance + 190 online high school students and teachers.

The conference was about the possible applications of AI in education.

I must confess I was a little nervous, but interacting with students and teachers about AI was a great experience (hope for both). Education is one of the first places to care when talking about AI implementation.

Little spot: If you need training on how to implement artificial intelligence in your organization, we, along with a group of other trainers, are currently available for face-to-face events around the world. FREE for Education and no profit communities. For informations you can contact me on Linkedin, on the blog or choosing directly some dates here.

//Internet, November 17th

Kickoff of Vjal's first free webinar for businesses to understand what AI can do for your business today.

Only a little longer the webinar is available for free here. I recommend it!

The most important thing about AI to me is to understand it first. And this workshop will open your eyes!

//San Francisco, November 17th

Why? It's very fun to speculate from this link and let everybody choose:

Once again it's an old news now and I do not want to comment on the diatribes that have been unleashed and the incredible impact of this event. ù

Let's wait until the end to draw some conclusions...

//San Francisco, November 18th

... in fact there is talk of a re-integration of Sam Altman and another revolution in OpenAI.

We are just getting started and it will be anything but easy and predictable! 🍿

//Europe, November 19th

That is, on the regulation of its applications and (maybe) not on its behaviour.

This is another path that will be the subject of much discussion. 🍿🍿

//San Francisco, Just after I published this Post

Sam Altman and Brokman from OpenAI has been hired in Microsoft, and Emet Shear, former CEO of twitch.tv, is now the CEO of OpenAI. End of the popcorn story?

I don't think so.

As always, I invite you to reflect, comment, and spread ideas by sharing this post with people you think might be interested.
